Fishing Tournament

Description

The Fishing Tournament is a limited-time event where you go fishing to earn rewards and compete with other players.

HOW THE FISHING EVENT WORKS (Baits, Charts & Rewards)

There are two main ways to fish in this event, and each one uses a different item.
Regular Fishing
Regular Fishing uses Baits.

• One fishing attempt uses 1 Bait
• You start with 5 Baits
• You get 1 new Bait every 3 hours
• You can store up to 10 Baits at a time

Ocean Prospector
Ocean Prospector uses Treasure Charts instead of Baits.
Each attempt uses 1 Treasure Chart
You fish in special areas with rarer fish and Ocean Chests
Your fishing gear is fully upgraded automatically in this mode

Points and Tokens, what’s the difference?
When you fish, you earn two kinds of rewards:

• Fishing Points help your Guild progress and decide your rank on the leaderboard
• Fishing Tokens are spent on upgrading your fishing gear or used for Sunken Treasure Hunts
Any Fishing Tokens you don’t use are automatically turned into resources when the event ends
(Every 10 unused Tokens become 10,000 resources).

YOUR FISHING GEAR, WHAT TO UPGRADE FIRST AND WHY

Your fishing gear has three main parts, and upgrading them in the right order makes a big difference.

1️⃣ Line – Reach deeper depths to obtain more valuable catches.
2️⃣ Hook – Catch more catches in one cast, improving score per cast.
3️⃣ Sinker – Lowers the hook safely to a deeper starting depth.

Important tip:
Fishing gear upgrades reset every season, so don’t wait. Start upgrading as soon as the event begins to get the most value.

POWER CAST MULTIPLY YOUR REWARDS

Power Cast is a feature that lets you earn much more Points and Tokens at once, instead of fishing slowly one try at a time.

You unlock Power Cast after:
• Fully upgrading your Fishing Kit
• Discovering 50 fish entries in the current season

When Power Cast is active:
• You choose a multiplier (like 2×, 3×, or 5×)
• The game uses more Baits or Treasure Charts in one go
• In return, your Points and Tokens are increased by the multiplier

To earn even more, you can use Fishing Vouchers together with Power Cast.
Vouchers give extra bonus on top of the multiplier, making one fishing attempt very rewarding.

Simple example:
If one normal catch gives 1000 points,
using a 5× Power Cast with 3 Vouchers will give 6500 points in a single attempt.

Tips & Guides

Fishing in Kingshot isn’t just about luck, it’s about planning, timing, and using the right tools. Follow this guide, and you’ll catch more fish, earn more points, and climb the Master Fisher leaderboard faster than most players.

While your hook is going down, move it gently left or right. This helps you avoid hooking fish too early and lets you reach deeper areas with better rewards.

When you decide to catch a fish, aim for the head. This is especially important for rare fish, as it gives you a better chance of a successful catch.

Ocean Prospector runs are best used when you’re ready for big rewards. They often contain rarer fish and Ocean Chests, so use your Treasure Charts carefully instead of wasting them.

If you see a troubled mermaid, help it, you may receive a surprise reward. However, leave healthy mermaids alone, as they do not give any benefit.

As you fish deeper, visibility becomes worse after 300 meters. If you plan to go that deep, make sure to use a Lantern so you can clearly see what you’re doing.

SPECIAL ITEMS, WHEN AND WHY TO USE THEM

Special items can make fishing much easier and more rewarding if you use them at the right time.

Horn of the Tide
This item calls a specific fish toward you. When it appears, pay attention to the direction and distance shown on the screen so you can line up your hook properly.

Reel
The Reel helps protect your line while it’s going down. It can block two sudden pullbacks during a descent. Using extra Reels gives you even more protection.

Ocean Scanner
When you pull your line back up, the Ocean Scanner checks the area and alerts you if rare fish are nearby, showing their direction and distance.

Lantern
Visibility becomes poor once you go deeper than 300 meters. Using a Lantern lights up the area so you can clearly see fish at deep levels.

Special items like Horn of the Tide, Reel, Lantern, and Scanner give extra advantages during fishing.

Fishing Voucher
Gives you extra Points and Tokens from one fishing attempt.
It’s best to use vouchers when you’re doing Power Cast, Ocean Prospector, or trying to catch rare fish.
Don’t waste vouchers on shallow fishing or low reward catches, save them for big runs.

FISHING GUILD – A BONUS MANY PLAYERS MISS

If you are thinking of purchasing the Fishing Guild packs, do so at the very beginning of the event. It adds extra bonuses to your results.

• Every time you fish, you earn Fishing Points that also help your Guild level up during the event.

• The Fishing Guild has optional memberships like Fishing Pro and Fishing Master. Buying these unlocks extra rewards such as special items, gems, keys, and more.

• These membership bonuses also increase the Points and Tokens you get when your fishing results are counted.

• If both Fishing Pro and Fishing Master memberships are active, their bonuses work together, giving even higher rewards.

• If you forget to collect Guild rewards, don’t worry. Any unclaimed rewards are sent to your mail automatically.

👉 Think long-term. The Fishing Tournament is recurring and items awarded persist in your backpack through events. This means you can hoard Fishing Kit items for a massively high-point event, securing a spot within the top of the leaderboard.

SEASONAL FISHING – WHY YOU SHOULD FISH EVERY SEASON

The Fishing Tournament happens in seasonal cycles like Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn.

Some fish, mermaids, treasure chests, and collectibles only appear in certain seasons.
If you skip a season, you might miss these until that season comes again.

Finding more collections increases your star rating and unlocks extra rewards over time.

👉 Simple tip: Even if you don’t get a top rank in one season, fishing a little still helps you finish your guide faster in the long run.

FINAL TIPS & COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID

To do well in the Fishing Tournament, don’t hurry. Careful planning gives better results than random fishing.

Common mistakes to avoid

• Using Baits only in shallow water and missing better rewards in deep water
• Waiting too long to upgrade fishing gear at the start of the season
• Using Power Cast without planning multipliers or vouchers
• Forgetting useful items like Reel, Lantern, or Ocean Scanner
• Helping healthy mermaids, which gives no reward

What to do instead

• Upgrade your fishing gear early so every attempt gives more value
• Try to fish deeper whenever possible for better fish and rewards
• Use special items only when they are truly helpful
• Save Power Cast and Fishing Vouchers for big, high reward attempts
• Help only troubled mermaids

FINAL CONCLUSION

Upgrading your gear early, fishing deeper, using Power Cast carefully, and playing every season all give better results. Even if you’re not aiming for the top rank each season, fishing a little and playing smart will slowly improve your progress and rewards. Keep fishing wisely, and each season will give you more value than the last.

Extra Tips:

If you miss a catch or bump too many fish too early, you can try again without using your items. Pause the attempt, tap Retreat and tap the Go Fish button. This will restart your cast without consuming items selected at the start.
